Who am I?
I am fernando padilla.
some random facts: when I was a kid my dads friend used to stuff cocaine in my diapers and bring me back and forward over the border so that explains the irregularities in my behavior. I choked on my umbilical chord and grew up in Richmond the rest is just static.
I am a Visual Communications Major In San Francisco State University. My emphases is print design with a strong interest in the use of photography in Design and Typography.
Don’t want to be cliche but the simple things that we take for granted are what inspire me the most. Things such as the smile of a frail old woman randomly gazing at a stranger on the street, the tears dripping from a person’s face be them of joy or pain, the notion that every human is a unique mystery full of wonder. I am greatly influenced by my heritage and its romanticization of death; as well as my religious upbringing. Design and Art-wise I would have to say I am greatly influenced by: Alphonse Mucha, Salvador Dali, Carpentry, Taxidermy, Victorian architecture, Classic Horror films, steam punk and all things bloody. My vision in life is to simply create things that change the world, Coco Chanel once said “Those who create are rare; those who cannot are numerous. Therefore, the latter are stronger”. My goal is to establish a 501c Non Profit organization and a Design Firm at some point in my life, everything else is just icing.
