Below are listed the series a questions which I have used in interviewing people in the community, The questions also included those in the online-survey. The interviews worked to compile information on the problem, and help hypothesize a solution. Some of the interviews were recorded. The second part of the questions were aimed at documenting the lives of the subjects interviewed, in hopes of being used in the final product.
Section one
1. Do you think students in the Bay area given enough education on Local role-models in which to relate to and look up too? if yes, why do you think?
2. would you agree that many who become successful move out of this area? would that be a reason why there is a lack of role-models actively inspiring the youth?
3.how does a community manage to keep successful individuals from leaving?
4. Is it the school’s responsibility to inspire the youth? or the parent’s? what about those in foster care? Whose responsibility is it to make a difference in their lives?
5. In your opinion what would be the best way(s) of educating students about local role-models in a class setting?
6. how does one instill in them the desire to learn, to succeed?

1. Who are you? - name, birth place, family history, etc.
2. What do you do or have done? -Work, Hobbies, accomplishments, merits.
3. At one point in your life did you realize that this is what you wanted to be doing with your life?
4. What obstacles did you have growing up? racial, economic, social, etc. and how did you overcome?
5. Tell me about one person that made a difference in your life, that inspired you to go on in life?
6. If you could go back in time and change something what would that be?
7. If you could tell the younger generations one thing that in your opinion is pivotal for their success in life what would that be? any last words?
